NEET UG 2026 exam, conducted by the NTA for MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH courses, is tentatively scheduled for May 3, 2026, in an offline (OMR) format. Registration likely begins in February 2026. The 3-hour 20-minute exam features 200 MCQs (180 to be attempted) covering Physics, Chemistry, and Biology based on NCERT. 


NEET 2026 Details:
• Exam Date: Expected on May 3, 2026 (tentative).
• Mode: Offline (pen-and-paper).
• Total Marks: 720 marks.
• Marking Scheme: +4 marks for correct answer, negative marks -1 for incorrect answer, 0 marks for unattempted.

• Eligibility: Minimum 17 years old by Dec 31, 2026. Passed/appearing in 12th with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English (min. 50% for General).

NEET Syllabus and Preparation:
• The syllabus focuses on the Class 11 and 12 curriculum as prescribed by the Medical Council of India (MCI).
• Key topics include mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism (Physics); physical chemistry, organic, and inorganic chemistry; and structural organization, genetics, and human physiology (Biology).
• High competition necessitates a score of 650+ for top colleges.
