- Must have passed 10th class (Matriculation) with minimum 50% aggregate marks from a recognised board.
- Must hold a relevant ITI certificate (NCVT/SCVT) in the trade you are applying for.
- Final year students (ITI/10th) are not eligible — certificates must be completed before the notification date.
✔ Age Limit:
- Minimum: 15 years
- Maximum: 24 years (as of 23 Mar 2026)
- Age relaxations apply for OBC/SC/ST/PwBD/ex-servicemen as per Government rules.

📋 Selection Process in Indian Railway
- Selection will be based on merit:
- Merit list is prepared using average marks of 10th grade and ITI results (no written exam or interview).
- Selected candidates will be called for document verification and medical fitness.

💰 Stipend & Benefits in Indian Railway
- Apprentices will receive a monthly stipend as per Apprenticeship Act rules during training (approximately ₹6,000–₹8,000 depending on trade and rules).
- After completion, apprentices gain work experience and a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC).
- This may help in future recruitment preferences in Railway Level-1 posts under some conditions.
